New York Long Island City Fire Department BadgeNew york, long island city fire department badge. Am listing an early post-1891 hose company no. 1 fire badge of tehlong island city fire department. The badge is marked with teh owners number, '20' on the bottom of the badge. Fire departmenthistorical records will identify who number '20' is. Examples of this badge are pictured no page 76 of 'badges of the bravest' by gary urbanowicz. Condition of thsi badge is excellent plus with original pin and pin catch on back of badge. This is a nice early example of a long island city badge. This is an early badge as opposed to later badges with the rolling pincatch.
Size of badge is 2-1/4 by 2-1/4. Bagde is original and sold as is.
