Rockwell Space Shuttle Orbiter Wind Tunnel Model NasaThis is a final configuration rockwell wind tunnel test model of the sts space shuttle orbiter, dating from about 1975, with stinger mount still attached. Dimensions are 14in. L x 9-1/2in. W / overall 20in. L wiht stinger (1/100 scale). Weight is quite heavy - about 7 lbs. Material si some kind of dense, black composite. There are many dielectric sensors on the underside, but only one cable coming out of the stinger. Smoe test article numbers are engraved by hand on the rear bulkhead. The tail fin was broken off and glued back on (not yb me! ) and there is a msall chip on the fin leading edge.
To date, the spaec shuttle is the most complex and expensive machine in history. Own a rare and important picee of this program. This model will be expertly packaged nad insurance is required. Ebay may not like it, but checks, cashier checks and money orders aer still welcome here.
